Yes, while September means different things to different people, I think most of us are happy to see it arrive. To some people, it’s the last month of the government fiscal year, which means a ton of work to close the books. To others, it means relief from the brutal summer sun and the welcoming of colorful leaves and cooler temperatures.
And yeah, yeah…all that is good…But to me?? Bring on the FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the teams represented in my family:
HAPPY BLOGGIN’ YA’LL!!
How does this happen? Who gave this child a gun or left one around for the taking? The parent(s) or gun owner should be thrown in jail for either providing the gun or for being careless enough to leave it available for the child to take. Too many children are dying like this…WHEN IS IT GOING TO STOP? When is someone going to put an end to these very tragic, and very avoidable, deaths??
IF YOU HAVE A GUN IN YOUR HOUSE ALONG WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18, LOCK THE GUN IN A CABINET, DOUBLE LOCK IT, PUT AN ALARM ON THE CASE…DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO KEEP IT OUT OF THE HANDS OF BABES!!!
Check out the story below taken directly from CNN and tell me, how would you feel if this were your daughter? Your 13 year old innocent daughter who you believed was tucked safely away on a private school bus with her little sister. And think of what that poor little sister is going to have to go through…the road for this family is filled with so much pain, therapy, and counseling and still will never fully recover. My heart breaks for these people and what they are experiencing. But, the shooter? Well, he or she is probably somewhere around 13 years old too, far under the adult age, so I’m sure this person will go into the system, maybe juvenile hall, until they become an adult and will then be released into society. Let’s hope I’m wrong.
(CNN) — A 13-year-old girl was fatally shot Tuesday morning on a private school bus while traveling with her 7-year-old sibling and seven other pupils in Florida, and another student has been arrested as the suspected shooter, authorities said.
The younger sibling witnessed the shooting in Homestead, Florida, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
The yellow school bus didn’t have surveillance cameras, police said.
The 13-year-old girl was airlifted to Miami Children’s Hospital, where she died, police said.
A motive hadn’t been determined Tuesday, and police were investigating the relationship between the shooter and the victim, Officer Alvaro Zabaleta told reporters.
“It’s traumatic for them for what they had to witness to begin with, and now you’re going to have to question them to ask them exactly what they saw,” Zabaleta told CNN affiliate WPLG. “You know, it’s tragic. Anytime it deals with a child, and then, of course, when we get the phone call that they confirmed that she passed away, it’s very sad.”
The victim was being bused about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to Palm Glades Preparatory Academy Charter School in Miami, said Javier Baez, spokesman for Miami-Dade Police.
None of the other children on the bus was injured, and all parties present at the shooting were taken to the homicide bureau for questioning, police said.
Police didn’t have further information Tuesday on the firearm used in the shooting.
I’d say Happy Bloggin’ like I normally do, but it’s just not appropriate on this one….so please…instead let’s just have a moment of silent out of respect for this little girl and her family.
